usage: In the event that my case is appealed to the 9th circuit court of appeals; I will need to raise 10-15k dollars for my legal defense.

I would like to raise 5 thousand dollars through Have Money Will Vlog; I realize that this amount is significantly larger than any past projects, but I feel that the issue is of a high enough profile that it will be possible to raise this much money.

If I am not forced to spend the full amount on legal funds, then all money raised will go to the Rise Up Network Foundation, a fund created to assist in the legal defense of independent video creaters using the internet as a distribution platform AKA vloggers.

timeline: This question is somewhat tricky; if I am held in custody - I will not be able to produce video until I am released; I will make every effort to get other media out while in custody, however.

If I am not in custody, then the project will be completed in 6-12 weeks and consist of 4-6 videos which will be released weekly beginning on the fourth week of production.

description: My proposal has two divergent possibilities depending on whether or not I find myself incarcerated. In the event that I am able to spare incarceration, then I will be producing a mini-series focusing on the legal rights associated with being a videoblogger; as a means to envelope a more broad audience, the first and last episodes will focus on more broad legal rights issues which effect those who are not mediea makers.

If I am taken into custody, then the series will instead focus on the legal system from the outlook of my experiences within it. I hope to tell stories of the people that I meet, but I obviously do not know the feasibility of this prospect having never been in this situation previously.

The legal rights series is important to the videoblogging community, because legal issues are bound to arise in a variety of manners and it is important for media makers to be informed about these issues.

In regards to the justice system branch, well, without peering too far down that path, all I can say is that it will certainly be a unique facet of videoblogging.
